Takahiko Suzuki is a Japanese artist based in Taiwan. Through his ongoing Global Store project (www.global-store.info), local enterprise is the starting point for an imaginative investigation of the connections between human, economic and social aspects of globalisation. A regular traveller, Suzuki's project centres around the idea of a nomadic 'advertising campaign' in which the artist promotes a small business, such as a restaurant, hardware store or pet shop, in another country through a hybrid mix of street performance, digital imagery and GPS technology.
