Title: Onionhead on Air
A collaboration of Yu-Chih Hsiao Young-Enn Wang and Ming-Ying Tsai
Web radio installation: Chun-Ching Yeh
Exhibition: Very Fun Park 2010
Exhibition Period: 10/12/2010 ~ 12/11/2010
Exhibition Location: NCCU Culture and Arts Center
Continuing on from the 2010 Summer Very Fun Park in East Taipei and the first encounter with musician Wang Yu-Jun in a special interview entitled "Tears", this time the Big Onion travels to the National Chengchi University (NCCU). Interactive installation artist Yeh Chun-Ching and exhibition staff worked together to turn the Big Onion into a receiving station for the online campus radio. Radio programs are open to NCCU students who can upload their own voices or music online. Mr. Yeh consolidates and edits the uploaded files into a continuous broadcast which airs inside the Big Onion. Anyone interested has an opportunity to get into the Big Onion and enjoy 15 minutes of unique space and sounds. By linking virtual space online and the space in reality, we hope to create a collective and connected experience for campus life unique to the students of NCCU.
