As a messenger, I move between source and pathway, until find my destination.
Is information a site of meaning, or an intersection of meaning? And what is the validity of its transmission? According to“Information Theory,” information is the state and motion of objects. In other words, the quantity of information emitted from an event has a correlation with the probability of its occurrence. The creative process has the properties of an event to me. The probability of its occurrence is low, and while the probability of repetition is exceptionally low, the quantity of information may increase in comparison. The abstract symbols in my work can be interpreted as disseminated information, but is also uninterrupted information of the“non-zero point.” The creative process is a process of decoding and encoding various converging factors during the transmission of information.
How do abstract symbols inspire space for comprehension in a state of suspension? Does this space become a gravitational force of meaning to the world, self, and others? Can we see information as an intermediate between matter and conscious, and at the site of “non-zero point,” can we find the pneumatic space of“point-zero point” in tending the canvas? In essence, mandates are found in the space between symbols, while also forming a field of sense and knowledge. How one draws the energy of meaning between information through abstract symbols, to a place of deconstruction for“non-zero point,” is something that I would like to explore in this exhibition.
In retrospect the course of abstract art is already a systematic information network and complex field (in regard to the self constructed history of abstract art). And so our understanding of abstract art and its established system or context can be reflected through motility initiated by information. The “source” is the subject of information, driving differences in the“path” of transmission, until beyond the intrinsic properties abstract art has created in history, to its final destination. Although information is a carrier of meaning construct, it also acts on a variety of senses; the differences are indicated in intertwined realities, which are the sites where“no-zero point” enters“point-zero point,” and a cognitive shift is initiated.
