Time-Flow
中文
text by Jenny Chen

Even though time and the turning of the Earth are regular and orderly processes, we each experience the flow of time in our own way and at our own speed. Even if we can logically say that time neither speeds up nor slows down, it nevertheless seems to flow past us at different rates.

This is because of our personal experience of time's passage—either very dense and concentrated, or more diffuse. The more deeply we experience any particular moment, the more intensely concentrated it seems, and the longer it lingers. Time's dissipation has been held in check.

The continuation of our lives is not a question of length, but of depth. We sigh with regret at the shortness of our lives, but the fact of eternity is not negated by death. Art has been viewed as a kind of formless eternity because its metaphysical implications and its undying spirit reach deeply to find that final bit of pure and unstained consciousness that we possess.

The process of art creation lies in constant reflection and innovation of the artist’s experience and footsteps. In contrast, with the exhibitions ofone’s art works, the accumulation of creative energy has been given a chance to precipitate and be organized into a narrative thinking structure.

In this exhibition, the artist attempts to present a space for dialogue with multimedia among graphic art, steel sculpture and installations, a space that can create emotional effusion, a space that invites the viewer to precipitate and contemplate, and one that provides consolation and cleansing.
