Biography
1939, born in Zhongqing, China, Han’s family originally came from Xiangtan, Hunan.
1961, after he graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University he joined the “Fifth Moon Group” and became one of the important painter of Taiwan’ modern art movement.
1967, he immigrated to New York City, and joined the O.K. Harris Works of Art since 1971 until 1984.
Han has participated in many important museum exhibitions, such as:
Museu de Arte Moderna, Sao Paulo, Musee d’Arte Moderne, Paris, Museum of Recklinghausen, Germany, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, NY, Museum of the City of New York, The Art Institute of Chicago, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Taipei Fine Art Museum, and Hirshhorn Museum, D.C.
Han has served as visiting artist for The School of Chicago Institute of Art, City University of Hong Kong, and artist-instructor for N.Y.U. graduate art program.
HN now lives and works in Dali, Yunan province, and has studios in Taipei and New York.
